Dr Tim Wright

Dr. Tim Wright – Laparoscopic, General and Obesity Surgeon.

Dr Tim Wright is an experienced and highly trained general and advanced laparoscopic surgeon. He was a Consultant Surgeon at The Royal London and St Bartholomews Hospitals before moving to Australia in 2002

He is a member of many learned societies and colleges including a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS), the Royal College of Surgeons of England (FRCS), Australia and New Zealand Metabolic and Obesity Surgical Society (ANZMOSS) and the Australia and New Zealand Gastro-Oesophageal  Surgical Association (ANZGOSA) .

Dr Wright was awarded a Doctorate of Medicine (DM) in 2000. His research involved the links between gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD), Barrett’s oesophagus and oesophageal cancer.  Since then he has maintained a strong interest in surgery for benign and malignant diseases of the oesophagus and stomach.

Dr Wright has also been performing obesity surgery since 1997 and has extensive experience with all operations including gastric banding, sleeve gastrectomy,  gastric bypass and complex revision surgery.

Other areas of interest are in laparoscopic hernia surgery, gallbladder surgery, colon cancer surgery and all types of endoscopy (gastroscopy, colonoscopy and ERCP).
